TRIBAL COUNCIL TO HOST INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS FOR TRIBAL MEMBERS RESIDING OFF-RESERVATION

NEW TOWN, N.D. – With the boom in energy development on the Fort Berthold Reservation and other major issues currently being addressed by the Three Affiliated Tribes Business Council public informational meetings will be held for tribal members whom reside off the reservation.  The meetings began in October and took place in the tribal communities of White Shield, Mandaree, New Town, Four Bears, Parshall and the final meeting was held in Twin Buttes.

Chairman Marcus Levings is now coordinating such meetings in the larger towns and cities of Minneapolis, Minn., Bismarck, ND, Fargo, ND and Williston, ND for Three Affiliated Tribes enrolled members who reside in or near these cities.  Each meeting is scheduled as follows:

Chairman Marcus Levings explained the purposes of the meetings are to keep the tribal membership informed and to allow for tribal members to express their input.  He further explained that the meetings in each city are an opportunity for the council representatives to share Tribal Business Council updates.
