HOEVEN: UNITED ANNOUNCES MINOT AIR SERVICE TO DENVER BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. John Hoeven today said that state efforts to encourage United Airlines to begin west-bound service from Minot have resulted in service to Denver. Hoeven has been urging United to expand service to Minot and other North Dakota cities in light of the state’s growing economy and increased demand for air service. The Governor today spoke with United Airlines CEO and President Glenn Tilton to thank him. “We appreciate United Airlines’ adding these flights from Minot to Denver," Hoeven said. “Service to western destinations in the United States is important to individual travelers, but it is also important as we continue to build our energy industry and other businesses in North Dakota.” United officials announced today that effective June 9-10, 2010, they will offer two daily roundtrip flights, one morning and one afternoon, to Denver on 50-seat CRJ aircraft operated by United Express (Skywest). -###- |
