New Town Elder homes nearly filled By Dorreen
Yellow Bird, Press Secretary The 14-Unit
Elder Complex in New Town is nearly filled with only three more apartments
open. Those apartments will be filled as
soon as applications are reviewed and applicants selected, said Becky Knight,
housing director. The most
recent elders to move into the apartments were Ferrell Hall, Merval Hall and
Phyllis Lonefight. Requirements
to live in the apartments are simple.
You must be considered an elder at 55 years or over and low income. Income is determined by federal standards. The next
projects, Knight said, are bids for USDA housing and the building of 12 units
each in White Shield and Parshall. If you need
more information on housing, you can contact the housing office at
701-627-4731. |
