HOEVEN DIRECTS FLAGS LOWERED TO HALF STAFF FRIDAY IN
HONOR OF SPECIALIST KEENAN COOPER

BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. John Hoeven has directed all government agencies across the state to fly the American and North Dakota flags at half staff from sunrise to sunset on Friday, July 16 in honor of Army Specialist Keenan Cooper, who died while serving his country in Afghanistan. Funeral and interment services for Cooper will be held on Friday in Wahpeton.

“Specialist Keenan Cooper proudly and valiantly served this state and nation,” said Hoeven. “By lowering the flags, we honor him for his distinguished service and express our respect and gratitude for the ultimate sacrifice he made in the name of freedom and democracy.”
