BUSINESS COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING 09-26-VJB I.
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting began at This is meeting number 138 of the Wells-Levings administration. II.
PRAYER: Bryon Brady III.
ROLL CALL: Councilman Barry Benson, Councilman Scott Eagle, Councilman Mervin
Packineau, Councilwoman V. Judy Brugh, and Chairman Levings are present. A quorum is established. Councilman Frank Whitecalfe and Councilman Arnold Strahs are not
present. IV.
APPROVAL
OF AGENDA: Councilman Packineau moved to approve of the agenda, second by
Councilman Benson. Discussion: VOTE: 5
Ayes 0 Nays Motion carried. V.
Resolution 09-084-VJB: BAIRD Councilman Packineau moved to approve of a resolution entitled,
“Engagement of Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated as the Sole Managing
Underwriter/Placement Agent for General Obligation Taxable and Tax Exempt Bonds
for the Three Affiliated Tribes.” The
motion is second by Councilman Eagle. Discussion: The
letter is attached. Funding for building
homes is discussed. VOTE: 5
Ayes 0 Nays Motion carried. A.
Lenny Abrams Residence in
Northern Lights Councilman Packineau moved to approve Lenny Abrams to move into the
residence in Northern Lights previously occupied by Camie Gosnell, second by
Councilman Eagle. Discussion: This
is a dream catcher home with a mortgage to be paid. The rent for Lenny will run between $700.00
and $1,000.00 per month. VOTE: 4
Ayes 0 Nays 1 Abstention Motion carried. VI.
Resolution 09-085-VJB: TERO Appointment Councilwoman Brugh moved to approve of a resolution entitled, “Approval
of Twin Buttes Segment Tribal Council Representative Barry Benson’ Appointment
of Daylon Spotted Bear to the Three Affiliated Tribes TERO Commission.” The motion is second by Councilman Benson. Discussion: No
discussion. VOTE: 5
Ayes 0 Nays Motion carried. VII.
ADJOURNMENT: Councilman Eagle moved to adjourn, second by Councilman Packineau. Meeting adjourned at CERTIFICATION I, the undersigned,
as Secretary of the Tribal Business Council
of the Three Affiliated Tribes of the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation,
