What We Do
The MHA Tribal Energy Department is responsible for the development of the natural resources of the Three Affiliated Tribes. This includes oil, gas, associated hydrocarbons and other natural resources. The Department works closely with the BIA, BLM, MMS, OST, EPA and NDIC.
The MHA Tribal Energy Department is responsible for the development of alternative energy and renewable energy resources.
The MHA Tribal Energy Department manages Tribal Oil & Gas Leases and Indian Mineral Development Act Agreements. Provides technical, environmental and regulatory oversight on all energy related matters both on and off the Indian Trust Land within the Exterior Boundaries of the Fort Berthold Reservation.
