The North Dakota Department of Commerce, Division of Community Services is announcing the availability of the state’s 2010-2014 Consolidated Plan and 2010 Action Plan for public comment. 

The Consolidated Plan provides information about the housing and non-housing community development needs in the state and includes a five-year strategy to address those needs, emphasizing benefit to low and moderate income persons and households.

The 2010 Action Plan serves as the state’s grant application to the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development for the state’s Community Development Block Grant, HOME, and Emergency Shelter Grants programs. The Action Plan primarily describes how the funds from each program will be distributed during the 2010 program year, which is expected to begin on or about April 1, 2010.

The Consolidated Plan and Action Plan will be available on the Division of Community Services web site, www.ndcommunityservices.com, beginning January 4, 2010.  Alternative formats are available upon request.  Written comments are due to the Division of Community Services by the close of business February 12, 2010.
