By Dorreen Yellow Bird

Angela Cummings, TAT police office, receives a commendation for a job “well done” by Ron Rankin, Sheriff, McKenzie Co., ND.  Elton Spotted Horse, Sr., new chief of police for MHA Nation, follow that award by commending her at a staff meeting and presenting her with a Pendleton blanket on Wednesday.

On December 19, Rankin said, Officer Cummings and Deputy C. J. Jones of the McKenzie County Sheriffs Office responded to an accident on Hwy 23, mile marker 32.  Jones told Rankin when he arrived on the scene, Officer Cummings was already at the there.  She was polite and professional.  She briefed him about the accident, gave him a copy of her field notes and faxed him a copy of her report within 24 hours.

“It’s a good thing when a Chief of Police has officers like Officer Cummings in his department that can be relied upon to represent the department in such a professional manner,” Rankin said.
