Highway speed limits reducedMinot Daily News POSTED: January 23, 2010
The speed limit has been reduced from 65 to 55 mph on N.D. Highway 23 from west of New Town to north of Parshall and N.D. Highway 8 from east of New Town to north of Stanley. The speed reduction was done because of the heavy volume of car and truck traffic in these areas. Effective Friday, the speed change was implemented by the North Dakota Department of Transportation and North Dakota Highway Patrol. More specifically, the speed reduction is on Highway 23 from the junction of N.D. Highway 22 west of New Town to the junction of N.D. Highway 37, north of Parshall. On Highway 8, the speed reduction is from the junction of Highway 23 and 8 east of New Town, to the junction of Highway 50, north of Stanley. Signs have been posted on these sections of the road to alert drivers to the changes. |
