Tribal Business Council Special Meeting-January 3rd, 4th, 5th & 30th, 2001 Action

Natural Resources; the TBC accepts Myrna Bear Resignation.
The Tribal Business Council accepted the letter of resignation from Myrna Bear, Realty Specialist.
Natural Resources; the TBC appoints Manny Morsette.
The Tribal Business Council Temporarily appointed Manny Morsette, to Realty Specialist, until advertised and filled.
Cops Fast Officers to Receive Tribal Funded Training at Lake Region.
The Tribal Business Council voted to fund the Training of the Cops Fast Officers at the Lake Region Junior College as requested by Elmer Four Dance, Chief of Police of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. 
Van Ness Feldman retained by the TBC to submit JTAC Legislation for additional Judgment Funds.
The Tribal Business Council voted to pursue additional JTAC Dollars from the Federal Government for the construction of Garrison Reservoir, which changed our lives here forever. This Law Firm was successful in attaining for the Cheyenne River Tribe in the State of South Dakota an amount of $290 Million for their JTAC funds. Therefore the Three Affiliated Tribes are at least attempting to gain the same type of dollars for our recovery. As we have already received $149 Million the additional amount that we legally be afforded would be another $141 Million. It is the beginning of the next fight to regain back our self sufficient life styles that we once held.
Tribal Security to Advertise for 1 Full Time and 1 Part Time Position.
The Tribal Business Council approved the request of Sergeant at arms to include two additional staff to be advertised and filled.
Segment Security approved by Tribal Business Council.
The Tribal Business Council approved six (6) security to be placed in the Segment to secure and protect Tribal Property and Buildings. As each segment now has a Tribal Community Building, Clinic or other property that should be looked after. Positions would be advertised and filled in the near future.
