Tribal Business Council Votes to have the Segments fund Donations and Grants per the JTAC Dollars disseminated to each Segment Community Board.
Previously the Tribal Business Council passed Resolutions #00-208-DSB, which approved the disbursement of $125,000 to each of the six segments and #01-04-MWJR which also approved the disbursement of $75,000 to each of the six segments; which brings a total funding of $200,000 for each respective segment.
Therefore the Tribal Business Council approved Resolution #01-50-MWJR ;
"The Districts with their $200,000 allocated to them shall be responsible for their Annual Dances, Vehicle replacements and sponsorship of youth and community related activities; and"
"That each District will set a cap for each of these activities"
"..and before funds will be disbursed, an approved budget and Resolutions shall be approved by the Tribal Business Council."

Copies of such resolution shall be distributed to each of the six Segment Community Boards, for more information on the budgeting process contact Treasurer Gillette at 627-4781.
National Indian Gaming Association Dues to be paid and the announcement of Councilman Mark Fox to run for National Chairman.
The Tribal Business Council voted to approve the yearly dues of $3,500 to the NIGA and support the campaign of Mark Fox, Parshall Representative to the post of Chairman of NIGA organization, as the present Chairman Rick Hill will not be seeking another term as Chair.  Mr. Fox is currently the Treasurer of the NIGA organization and he will be seeking the post for the first time. This is a very important post, in order to insure the future of Gaming in Indian Country, I believe Mr. Fox is worthy of the Task. "Good Luck Mark."
Tribe Approves the application for a Grant of $3,000,000 for the New Town/Little Shell Segment.
The Tribal Council Approved Resolution #01-52-MWJR to authorize the OM&R Program to seek funding of $3,000,000 from the U.S. Environmental Agency from the Drinking Water Infrastructure Grants Tribal Set Aside Program to provide adequate and free drinking water for the membership of New Town/Little Shell.
