Special Meeting held on February 27, 2001--Action

Note: This Special Meeting was called for two grant applications totaling $3,350,000, that were due at the close of business February 28, 2001. Chairman Hall and Vice Chairman Phelan were on official travel status and not present.
Meeting Called to Order by Acting Chairman Marcus Wells, Jr. at 3:25 P.M.
Roll Call taken by Acting Secretary Daylon Spotted Bear, Present:
Austin Gillette, Malcolm Wolf, Daylon Spotted Bear, Mark Fox and Marcus Wells, Jr.
Quorum  Established.
Three Items for action:

  1. Resolution for EPA Grant of $350,000 to accompany $3,000,000 Grant Resolution #01-52-MWJR.
  2. Resolution for NAARD Retainment to prepare both Grants.
  3. Assignment of Duties on the Feed Program
Tribal Business Council Approves the application for a Grant of $350,000 for New Town/Little Shell.
Tribal Business Council Approved the Grant Application Resolution #01-55-DSB for $350,000 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to provide adequate and free water to New Town/Little Shell Segment.
Tribal Business Council Approves the retainment of (NAARD) Native American Research and Resource Development, Inc as Consultant.
The Three Affiliated Tribes approved the Resolution #01-56-DSB for the retainment of Mike Cross, NAARD as  consultant for the OM&R Program to assist in the application process for $3,350,000 of funding for adequate and free water to New Town/Little Shell Segment.
Tribe Approves the Feed Program oversight to Ambrose Hosie of Comprehensive Management.
The Tribal Business Council approved oversight duties to Ambrose Hosie, as there are numerous requests for a contact person for the Three Affiliated Tribes.
Meeting was adjourned at 3:36 PM.
