The
Tribal Business Council had a visit from
Senator Byron Dorgan and Congressman Earl Pomeroy
on April 17, 2001 Council meeting held in the
Tribal Chambers.
They provided an update on the status of the Dakota
Water Resources Act that was passed December 15,
2001.
The Tribal Council submitted to them the following
priorities for FY2002:
- JTAC
II, the second funding request for the flooding
of the Fort Berthold Reservation.
- Dakota
Water Resources Act the need of $6 Million FY-02
- Indian
Health Care Budget Increase needs for FY02-03
- Energy
Projects & Indian Energy Summit
- Government
Contracts for our Tribal Companies to obtain
from Air Force Base and US Immigration service.
- BIA
Budget Increase for FY02-03.
- USDA
Issues
- Great
Plains Tribes to Testify at Senate Indian Affairs
Committee on Priorities of Tribes.
- Farm
Bill, tribes to develop a Indian Section of
the Farm Bill
- USDA
Purchase Bison form Indian Tribes
- Tourism
Issues, Lewis and Clark Funding for New Culture
Center, Film and Lake Shore Development

Lands into
Trust issues.
