TRIBAL BUSINESS COUNCIL VOTES TO RE-ORGANIZE DIALYSIS -KDU AND TO SEND THIRD PARTY BILLING BACK TO DIALYSIS--KDU
The Tribal Business Council voted to re-organize and relocate the Third Party-Health Systems
Billing staff back to the KDU supervision and staffing. Therefore Mrs. Eileen Jackson, Health Systems Manager and Alvina Wells, Health Systems Specialist have relocated back into the KDU. Mr. Stacey Meidinger, Administrator and Mrs. Linda Irwin, Head Nurse have taken the supervision back from the Program Manager and Tribal Administration.
TRIBAL PERSONNEL TO REQUIRE THE EMPLOYEES TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DRUG AND ALCOHOL EVALUATIONS
The Tribal Business Council took formal action to provide that tribal employees would be responsible for the cost to undertake an alcohol evaluation. This evaluation is a requirement of the newly adopted drug and alcohol policy therefore the cost of $60.00 per evaluation would be permissible to be taken as a wage deduction.
TRIBAL PERSONNEL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES AMENDED IN REGARDS TO THE SUSPENSION WITHOUT PAY
The Tribal Business Council formally approved the Personnel Policies and Procedures handbook pursuant to formal Resolution #02-64-MWJR, which states in part:
WHEREAS, The Tribal Business Council adopted the Three Affiliated Tribes Personnel Policies and Procedures for the purpose of establishing uniform guidelines governing all Tribal Employees; and
WHEREAS, The Tribal Business Council wishes to add three types of Class Suspension clauses to Part IX of the Three Affiliated Tribes Policies and Procedures; and
WHEREAS,
Class I Suspension: Suspension Without Pay. Suspension from all employment duties without pay under this section shall mean:

  1. No annual leave or sick leave will be accumulated by the suspended employee during the period of time of the suspension; and
B. No annual, sick or donated leave can be redeemed by the suspended employee during the period of time of the suspension.
WHEREAS,
Class II Suspension: Suspension Without Pay. An employee under this section shall not be granted compensation for employment, however, the employee has the right to utilize sick and annual leave during the period of time of the suspension but shall not have the right to utilize donated leave during the period of time of suspension; and
WHEREAS, 
Class III Suspension: Suspension With Pay. A suspended employee may be granted full compensation except the right to accumulate leave during the period of time of the suspension; and
WHEREAS, The Supervisor or Program Director shall notify the employee upon suspension which Class of Suspension will be attached to the suspension.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Tribal Business Council of the Three Affiliated Tribes elects to adopt the three type of Class Suspensions to the Three Affiliated Tribes Policies & Procedures under Sections IX EMPLOYEES CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINARY ACTION.
