Business Council Sets the Indian Health Service
Priorities for Fiscal Year 2002
The Tribal
Business Council formally approved the priorities
for the Indian Health Service for the Neil Austin,
Field Engineer of the Indian Health Service, Minot,
ND Office.
Priorities for the 2002:
- Mandaree Lagoon
- Breslin Addition
- Solid Waste
Transfer Station
- Twin Buttes

BIA 638 Project; Chip and Seal Job awarded to Northern
Improvement
The Tribal
Business Council took action to approve the awarding
of the low bid to Northern Improvement Company of
Dickinson, North Dakota. The contract will be awarded
in the amount of $640,360.73 for the BIA Roads on
the Fort Berthold Reservation.
BIA 638 Project;
Mandaree Hill Job awarded to TEK Industries
The Tribal
Business Council took action to approve the awarding
of the low bid to TEK Industries of Mandaree, North
Dakota. The contract will be awarded in the amount
of $778,878.53 for the BIA Mandaree Hill Project
on the Fort Berthold Reservation.

Bears Casino & Lodge to begin Construction
of the Northern Lights Apartment Complex
The Tribal
Business Council took formal action to approve
of the Tribal Business Council Resolution #01-109-MWJR
for a twenty apartment complex:
...In conjunction with the expansion of the Casino
and due to the current housing shortage in New
Town, the Casino is currently pursuing and additional
project involving the construction of a twenty
(20)-unit apartment complex in New Town, so as
to make available additional housing for prospective
employees who will be retained in new positions
associated with the expansion of the Casino facilities
and who will relocate in the New Town area; and

Casino & Lodge Apply for Loan for $1,200,000
to Construction of the Northern Lights Apartment
Complex
The Tribal
Business Council approved the Tribal Council Resolution
#01-110-MWJR allowing the Four Bears Casino
& Lodge to apply for a Section 538 Guaranteed
Rural Housing Loan for the Amount of $1,200,000.
...that the Casino is hereby authorized to complete
an application for a loan from BNC Bank of Bismarck,
North Dakota, to be guaranteed by the Rural Housing
Service Section 538 Loan, if obtained, in an amount
not more than $1.2 Million.
