and Clark Bicentennial Commemoration Official
Points of Contact for the Three Affiliated Tribes
are Amy Mossett and Dennis R. Fox II. The Tribal
Business Council duly approved Tribal Business
Council Resolution #01-133-MWJR.
...The upcoming 2003-2006 Lewis and Clark Bicentennial
Commemoration has created an increased interest
in the history and culture of the Mandan, Hidatsa,
and Arikara Tribes and the subsequent need and
desire of the individuals and various entities
from across the United States and abroad to contact
the Three Affiliated Tribes for related information
and cultural/historical interpretation; and
...the Tourism and Independence Office was established
by the Tribal Business Council of the Three Affiliated
Tribes through Resolution #00-231-DSB to develop
and promote cultural heritage tourism efforts
relative to the Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara Nation,
Sakakawea, and the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial;
and
...that the Tribal Business Council hereby designates
the Tourism Director (Amy Mossett) and Independence
Director (Dennis R. Fox II) as the official Points
of Contact for the Three Affiliated Tribes Sakakawea
and Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Commemoration.
TAT Earth lodge Village Project The Tribal
Business Council approved Tribal Business Council
Resolution #01-134-MWJR.
...The Tourism and Independence Development Center
of the Three Affiliated Tribes has developed a
plan to build a earth lodge in each district of
the reservation as well as two earth lodge villages
each consisting of ten earth lodges; and
...In recognition of the need for business opportunities
for our Tribal membership, the Three Affiliated
Tribes hereby authorizes the Tourism and Independence
Development Center to develop an Earth lodge Village
at the Figure Four Ranch and an Earth lodge village
at or near the site of the new Cultural Interpretative
Center; and
...that the Three Affiliated Tribes designates
the Figure Four Ranch to store and all materials
for the Earth lodge Villages prior to construction. Circle
of Earth Lodge People Funded for $500 by TBC The Tribal
Business Council voted to support the Circle of
Earth Lodge People for an amount of $500 and recommended
support from the Four Bears Segment and North
Segment Comm. Boards.
