Regular Meeting held on June 13, 2002

TRIBAL BUSINESS COUNCIL APPROVES THE FUNDING REQUEST FOR THE FY 2003 INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE FUNDING CYCLE
The Tribal Business Council approved the Indian Health Service project listing for the FY 2003  that will be the priority projects funded for the 2003 Construction Season. The following projects and the their respective dollars amounts were approved for development:

  1. *Four Bears Solid Waste  $1,824,000
  2. Utility Commission Equip.      $475,000
  3. Individual Water & Sewer     $280,000
  4. Twin Buttes Rural Water
  & Storage    $445,000
*In addition, the Four Bears Solid Waste Site relocation we will be seeking matching grants with an in-kind contribution from the Tribe, therefore being eligible to receive potentially more funding from the Indian Health Service.
TRIBAL BUSINESS COUNCIL APPROVES THE AMENDED GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR FY 2002
The Tribal Business Council formally approved the amended budget as presented by Mr. Steve Salveson, Chief Financial Officer of the Finance Department of the Three Affiliated Tribes.
Motion was made to approve the following budget amendments for June 13, 2002:
JTAC  Increase $5,562,000
Road Const. -BIA  Decrease $   142,000
Third Party Billing Decrease $   420,000
Tax Comm. & Taxes Decrease $   500,000
TERO  Decrease $1,000,000
Indirect Recovery  Decrease $3,000,000
Small Loan Collect. Decrease $   500,000
Net Impact   $ -0-
Expenditure Changes by Line
Contingency Reserve Decrease $     50,000
Home Loans  Increase $     50,000
Debt Service  Decrease $1,035,190
Tribal Programs  Decrease $3,358,617
Tribal Enterprises  Decrease $1,698,250
JTAC  Increase $6,092,057
Net Impact   $-0-
"These changes are requested due to revenues that probably will not be received in Fiscal Year 2002 and in order to use JTAC funds, qualifying programs and projects must be re-budgeted as JTAC…"
TRIBAL BUSINESS COUNCIL APPROVES THE MINUTES AS AMENDED FOR APRIL 11, 2002, MAY 9, 2002 AND MAY 13, 2002
The Tribal Business Council formally approved Tribal Council Minutes for the meetings of April 11, 2002, May 9, 2002 and May 13, 2002,as amended with corrections.
The Tribal Business Council Minutes, upon approval, are reviewed to include the necessary amendments. Upon such corrections, the minutes are signed by the Secretary and the Chairman and forwarded to the Records Manager to be placed on the website:
