FOUR BEARS REPRESENTATIVE OF THE TRIBAL BUSINESS COUNCIL

"TAT Elders Receive $350 in July 2002"

The Tribal Business Council formally approved Resolution #02-122-MWJR, during the one item Special Meeting held on July 16, 2002; which states in part:
"WHEREAS, The Elderly members of the Tribe, who are 60 years of age or older, have witnessed first hand the destruction of the homelands of the Three Affiliated Tribes following the building of the Garrison Dam and the creation of Lake Sakakawea almost 50 years ago; and…
FINALLY, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Tribal Business Council  hereby authorizes and directs the Tribal Finance Department to pay out, by check, to each and every living tribal member who is an elder, as defined above, the amount of $350, as one part of a Tribal Elderly Living Assistance program, such funds are to be available from Tribal funds in the Fiscal Year 2002 budget and the additional $150 will be disbursed no later than September 30, 2002."
