JTAC II Hearing Committee Budget Approved for $10,000
The Tribal Business Council approved the coordinating committee budget of $10,000 for the August 30, 2001 Senate Committee on Indian Affairs--Oversight Hearing presented by Lisa Redford and Tiffany Martin. Meeting on the Uses of the Fund Provided by the Three Affiliated Tribes Equitable Compensation Act, per North Dakota Senator Conrad slated for the Four Bears Casino Events center.
Tribal Business Council approves the enrollment of 39 New Tribal Members as presented by Enrollment
The Tribal Business Council approved Tribal Resolution #01-193-MWJR; which approve the applications for enrollment of 39 New Tribal Members of the Three Affiliated Tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation.
Tribal Business Council to review the Blood Quantum for Membership
The Tribal Business Council passed a motion to review the possibility of decreasing the blood quantum requirements from 1/4 to 1/8 degree of blood from the Three Affiliated Tribes. The vote for this review was not unanimous as I believe the people already spoke on this issue in 1986 Secretarial Election. However the Majority rules and the Council will look into possible lowering of the quantum.
Tribal Business Council Approves the Elder Home Policy for those 60 years of age and older.
The Tribal Business Council approved Tribal Council Resolution #01-194-MWJR; which states wherein;
"Whereas, The Three Affiliated Tribes Tribal Business Council recognizes that there is a lack of housing units available for use by its Tribal membership, specifically the elder segment of the population; and
The Tribal Business Council has authorized the purchase of housing units that are designated solely as elder housing units; and
The Tribal Business Council hereby adopts the attached "Elder Home Program" setting forth the purpose of the Program and establishing criteria for eligibility for obtaining a housing unit set aside for elders and conditions of occupancy for such housing.."
Policy which states in Part:
Eligible
Applicant: 60 years of age and over.
Purpose: TAT Members who do not al-  ready own a  home.
Location: All homes will be located   within an established housing   community with sewer& water
Rent to own: $150 per Month

Felix & Leda Meyers to receive one of the two North Segment Homes.
Tribal Business Council approved the designation of Felix & Leda Meyers to receive one of the two elders home from the North Segment due to their home being condemned.
