Game and Fish Proclamations Approved for the 2001-02
Season.
The Tribal
Business Council formally approved Resolution
#01-195-MWJR, the Small Game and Furbearers,
North American Elk Gun, Deer Bow Hunting and Pronghorn
Antelope Proclamation for the Game and Fish Department
of the Three Affiliated Tribes.
Tribal
Game and Fish Department of TAT to hold Elk and
Buffalo Drawings.
The Tribal
Business Council approved the development of a
proposal for the bidding for a (5) elk tags and
(5) buffalo tags. Such tags are to be given to
the highest bidder with the bidding to begin at
$5,000 per tag.
Tribe Requests
$6,000,000 for the funding of the MR&I Projects
on the Fort Berthold Reservation.
The Tribal
Business Council duly passed Tribal Resolution
#01-196-MWJR, which states in part:
"Now, Therefore, Be It Further Resolved, that
the Tribal Business Council hereby continues to
authorize the Tribal Chairman to coordinate lobbying
efforts with those law firms that have been hired
by the Tribe and through the Tribal Legal Department
to seek an appropriation of at least $6,000,000
from the Dakota Water Resources Act for FY 2002
for the MR&I projects of the Three Affiliated
Tribes to allow such projects to be commenced
so that all of the residents living with the Fort
Berthold Reservation may benefit from water from
the Missouri River."
Legal Department
of Three Affiliated Tribes receives approval for
the Contract Renewal for Mr. Tom Disselhorst.
The Tribal
Business Council formally approved Resolution
#01-197-MWJR, which states in part:
"Now, therefore be resolved, that the Tribal Business
Council of the Three Affiliated Tribes, pursuant
to its Constitutional Authority, hereby formally
approves the entry into the In House Counsel Contract
between the Three Affiliated Tribes and Thomas
M. Disselhorst…"
United
Tribes Pow Wow Receives a Donation of $4,000 from
the Tribe.
The Tribal
Business Council formally approved Tribal Resolution
#01-199-MWJR for a Donation and Grant of $4,000
to the 2001 United Tribes Pow Wow.
Four Bears
Head Start Center Purchased from Twin Buttes Custom
Homes.
The Tribal
Business Council formally approved of the Purchase
of a Head Start Center from the Twin Buttes Custom
Homes for the Four Bears Head Start Center in
the amount of $51,000 and $11,000 for mobilization
setup up within the Four Bears Segment. Funding
was approved in October 2000 for the purchase
of such center.
