Tribal Council Selects  Steve Salveson, Chief Financial Officer of Tribal Finance
The Tribal Business Council formally selected Mr. Steve Salveson as the Chief Financial Officer with the full authority to supervise the staff of the Finance Department. As it was noted that when he was first hired on he wanted to concentrate on getting the accounting aspect caught up to date prior to taking over the supervision and full responsibility. However he is now prepared to do so and has accepted the role of Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Salveson is a Certified Public Accountant with over 17 years of experience as a CPA  and received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Montana State University. Mr. Salveson left a firm in Minot, ND to give the Three Affiliated Tribes a hand at running our own accounting system for our General Funds, Federal Funds and JTAC Funds. Mr. Salveson, had been preparing such a JTAC report since June 2001 to be presented to Office Trust Funds Management.
Which, of course was recently delivered to Senator Kent Conrad on August 30, 2001.
