Reorganization
of Executive Committee Issue Presented to the
Tribal Business Council by Four Bears Representative
The
Agenda of the August 30, 2001 Special Council Meeting
included the Issue of the Reorganization of the
Executive Committee, namely the Treasurer Position.
As the Four Bears Representative received many requests
for this reorganization of the Treasurer Position
by Four Bears Segment Members as well as Tribal
Members in general. Simply, to have services duly
provided to them, without any politics.
Today, the Tribal Business Council presently determines
who the Treasurer is, by an official appointment
by resolution approved by the council membership.
Therefore I brought the Item on the Agenda for discussion
and the Tribal Business Council heard me out and
listened to my points:
- Fair
treatment of Tribal Members.
- Differences
in perspectives of priorities purchase orders
and overlooking of large expenditures.
- Personal
treatment issues.
- Best
Interest of the Four Bears Segment and Tribal
Membership.
- Lastly,
the vote of the Council is the final determination
of the issue.
However,
the Tribal Business Council did not second my motion
for the reorganization of the Treasurer Position,
therefore this issue did not come to a vote.
The current organization of the Executive Committee
remains and I will do the best of my ability to
provide for the Four Bears Segment and Tribal Membership
with the current Treasurer.
As it is was determined by the other five (5) council
members that the current Treasurer is performing
his duties to their respective satisfaction and
the Tribal Memberships satisfaction.
