TRIBAL BUSINESS COUNCIL APPROVED TRIBAL COUNCIL MINUTES FOR JUNE 13, 2002, JUNE 27, 2002 AND JULY 29, 2002
The Tribal Business Council formally approved the June 13, 2002--Regular Tribal Business Council Meeting Minutes, the June 27, 2002 Special Tribal Business Council Meeting Minutes and the July 29, 2002 Special Tribal Business Council Meeting  Minutes. As amended and corrected, upon signature of the Recording Secretary, Chairman and Executive Secretary to be forwarded to the MHA Times and the www.mhanation.com website.
TRIBAL BUSINESS COUNCIL APPROVED THE BOOTH TO BE SET UP FOR ENROLLMENT AND THE TRIBAL ELECTION BOARD AT THE LITTLE SHELL CELEBRATION 2002
The Tribal Business Council formally approved the Booth to be set up at the Little Shell Pow Wow Ground during the 2002 Little Shell Celebration for the updating of the Tribal Membership addresses for the upcoming 2002 Tribal Council Election. Ms. Jonelle Halsey, Mrs. Danielle Henry and Marti Stevenson were retained to be set up for the booth services during the duration of the celebration and provide these updated addresses to the 2002 Tribal Business Council Election Board.
TRIBAL BUSINESS COUNCIL APPROVED THE ENROLLMENT OF 59 NEW TRIBAL MEMBERS FOR THE TRIBAL ENROLLMENT OFFICE OF TAT
The Tribal Business Council formally approved the official enrollment of the applications as presented by the Tribal Enrollment office to formally enroll 59 enrolled members pursuant to the Tribal Business Council Resolution #02-135-MWJR, which states in part;
"WHEREAS, According to the Article II, Sec. 1: Membership: The membership of the Three Affiliated Tribes shall consist of:

  1. All persons whose names appear on the membership of the Tribe as of October 2, 1974.
  2. Any Person born before the effective date of the amendment and to any member of the Tribe who was a resident of the reservation at the time of birth of said person.
  3. All persons of at least 1/4 degree Indian blood of a federally recognized tribe, provided that at least 1/8 be of the Hidatsa, Mandan, or Arikara Tribe….
WHEREAS, On August 8, 2002, the Tribal Business Council reviewed a Resolution for eligible participants for enrollment with the Three Affiliated Tribes.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Tribal Business Council duly and officially approves the enrollment of the following 59 applicants."
TRIBAL BUSINESS COUNCIL APPROVED FY-2003 COMMUNITY SERVICE BLOCK GRANT
The Tribal Business Council formally approved Resolution #02-141-MWJR for the CEDS Department, which states in part:
"WHEREAS, The Office of Community Services U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has invited the Three Affiliated Tribes to submit an FY-2003 Application for funding based on availability of funds, under Public Law 97-35.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Tribal Business Council of the Three Affiliated Tribes duly authorizes the execution and filing of the Community Services Block Grant FY-2003 Application including all understandings and assurances contained in the application, and has directed and authorized the Chairman of the Three Affiliated Tribes to be identified as official contact person for the Three Affiliated Tribes Community Services Block Grant Program.
