Update on Fort Berthold Housing Project--48 Apartments downsized to 36 Apartments

Fort Berthold Housing Project
48 Apartments downsized to 36 Apartments due to budget limitations, however the construction is well underway and scheduled to be completed summer of 2001 and families moved in shortly thereafter, contractor is First Dakota. The project is funded by three (3) revenue sources; Fort Berthold Housing $1,000,000, USDA Loan $1,000,000 and Tribal Government Contribution $500,000 for an total amount of $2,500,000. Mr. Orville Fox, is the Project Manager representing the Fort Berthold Housing Authority. The Fort Berthold Housing Authority Director is Barb Baker, this project was only made possible by her persistence and dedication to providing housing to the people of the Three Affiliated Tribes.
