Four Bears Bridge Funded for Replacement

From the Desk of Marcus Wells, Jr., Four Bears Council Representative.
Mr. Kent Conrad, Senator off North Dakota has informed me on October 20, 2000 via an informal conversation at the Minneapolis Airport that the Tribe has received President Bill Clinton's approval on the  $35,000,000  funding for the

replacement the Four Bears Bridge and estimated that it would take approximately five (5) years of construction.  The remaining should be met by the 20% match that the State of North Dakota is funded to fund the $42,000,000 Four Bears Bridge Replacement. Mr. Kent Conrad was enroute to attend the services of  a former Mayor of Minot to

held the following day or so. It was a exciting news, since this Bridge has been one of narrowest Bridges in the United States. Thank You  to the Democratic Party for the fast action.
