TO DEVELOP SMALL LOAN POLICY AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE
COMMITTEE TO APPROVE LOAN APPLICATIONS
The Tribal
Business Council directed Mr. Terry Red Fox, CEO,
to develop policy that authorize the Executive
Committee to approve loan applications. This was
discussed in order to speed the loan approval
process.
TRIBAL
COUNCIL OFFERS EMPLOYMENT TO DR. LOREN SIMPSON
FOR THE PHYSICIAN CONTRACT
The Tribal
Business Council extended an offer of employment
with Dr. Loren Simpson for a five year contract.
He is also married to an enrolled member of the
Three Affiliated Tribes. He received his
Doctor of Medicine from University of North Dakota
and is currently licensed in California and Nevada.
Additional information will follow in the next
newsletter as to the acceptance of the offer for
employment.
THE HEALTH
DIRECTOR OF TAT TO DEVELOP A CONSOLIDATION PLAN
FOR THE DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROGRAM
The Tribal
Business Council directed Mrs. Debra Thompson,
Health Director of the Three Affiliated Tribes,
to develop a plan to Consolidate all the Drug
and Alcohol Programs of the Three Affiliated Tribes.
This will be presented at the November 8, 2001
Tribal Business Council Meeting.
SOCIAL
SERVICE STAFF TO REDESIGN THE SERVICES OF THE
638 CONTRACT
The Tribal
Business Council recommended to the Social Services
Director and Staff to re-design the services to
the clients as it was reported that the FY2001
had a carryover of dollars. The Tribal Business
Council felt that this carryover should be expended
on the clients who are in need.
FORT BERTHOLD
SCHOOLS TO RECEIVE FUNDING FOR THE SY-01/02 FOR
THE AMOUNT OF $500,000
The Tribal
Business Council formally approved Tribal Resolution
#01-245-MWJR, which stipulates in part that
for the School Year 2001/2002 the Fort Berthold
Indian Schools shall receive a total of $500,000.
The New Town, Mandaree, Parshall, White Shield
and Twin Buttes School's will each receive $100,000
for the school budget needs.
FORT BERTHOLD COMMUNITY COLLEGE TO RECEIVE $1,000,000
FOR FUNDING FROM FY2002 THRU FY2007
The Tribal
Business Council approved the allocation of $1,000,000
of JTAC Dollars to the Fort Berthold Community
College for the budget needs. The funding will
be remitted at the amount of $200,000 per fiscal
year for the FY2002 through the years FY2007.
GED PROGRAM OF THE FORT BERTHOLD COMMUNITY COLLEGE
TO RECEIVE FUNDING FOR THE SY-01/02 IN THE AMOUNT
OF $10,000
The Tribal
Business Council formally approved the funding
of $10,000 for the GED Program of the Fort Berthold
Community College for the SY2002. The Program
Director is Mrs. Lydia Sage Chase.
