Cops Fast Officer Standish Transfers to the BIA
Law Enforcement
The Tribal Business Council accepted the resignation
of Cops Fast Officer Mr. Jay Standish, who was
recently hired by the Law Enforcement of the Bureau
of Indian Affairs. Mr. Standish served with fellow
Cops Fast Officers Mr. Todd Moquino and Rick Little
Swallow who are also assigned to the Four Bears
Segment.
The Four Bears Segment have received excellent
service from the Cops Fast Program of the Three
Affiliated Tribes with the likes of Officer Standish,
Officer Moquino and Assistant CI - Little Swallow.

Cops Fast Officer Selected by the Tribal Business
Council, Nelson Heart, Jr. Selected to fill
vacancy created by the Resignation of Officer
Standish
The Tribal
Business Council approved the selection of Mr.
Nelson Heart, Jr. as a Cops Fast Officer, to be
assigned to the Four Bears Segment, subject to
the procedures of the back ground check of the
Cops Fast Program. Welcome aboard Mr. Heart.
Law Enforcement
of the Bureau of Indian Affairs to be considered
for contracting per the PL 93-638 Process
The Tribal
Business took formal action to submit a letter
of intent to contract the Law Enforcement of the
Bureau of Indian Affairs of the Fort Berthold
Agency. This letter was sent to the Aberdeen Area
Office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Four Bears
Casino & Lodge to refinance the current Loan
Debt for the continued upgrade of the Casino
The Tribal
Business Council took formal action to refinance
the current debt of the Tax Exempt Loan and Taxable
loan taken out by the Four Bears Casino &
Lodge to complete some further expansion efforts
within the Casino and also to take advantage of
the recent drop in prime lending interest rates.
The Tribal Business Council Formally approved
the Resolution #01-228-MWJR for the Taxable
Loan of $15,000,000 and Resolution #01-229-MWJR
for the Tax-exempt Loan of $5,500,000.
Educational
Funding Requests by the participants of the Accelerated
Bachelors Program of the University of Mary
The students
of the University of Mary--Accelerated Program
addressed the Tribal Business Council about the
funding of the Higher Education Program and reported
that they were not receiving any funding from
the Higher Ed. Program or the JTAC Funding. It
was then deferred to the September 20, 2001
for follow-up and clarification from the Higher
Ed. Administrator.
