  • TAT LIHEAP Application FY 2026

    • The Three Affiliated Tribes LIHEAP is a federally funded program that assists low income Three Affiliated Tribes and Other Federal Recognized Tribes households with their home energy costs related to heating and cooling, that resides in an around a 12-mile radius of the exterior boundaries of the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation (FBIR). The Purpose of LIHEAP is to assist with energy needs, but not pay all energy costs related to heat and/or cool your home.

      The head of household applicant must be a member of the Three Affiliated Tribes or other Federal Recognized Tribe and reside on or within a 12-mile radius of the FBIR to qualify for this program. If residing outside of the 12-mile radius of the FBIR, then the head of household must apply to their local state program.

    • Applications are Available Online via the Internet at MHA Nation Website, the LIHEAP Office, White Shield Segment, Twin Buttes Segment, New Town/Little Shell Segment, Parshall/Lucky Mound Segment, Four Bears Segment and Mandaree Segment Offices, and the United Prairie, New Town Office All Located within the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation.

    • The MHA Nation Food Distribution Program provides USDA food packages to Low-income families within the MHA Nation service area.

    • Individuals may qualify if they have little or no earnings, live on limited fixed income such as social security, or SSI and meet program residency requirements and Federal income guidelines.
