Cemetery restoration is about fixing up and caring for the burial grounds of MHA Nation tribal members. It means cleaning up, repairing, and looking after these special places where ancestors are laid to rest. By doing this work, the community shows respect for its heritage and keeps the memory of loved ones alive. It’s a way to honor the past and keep traditions alive for future generations.

What services do you provide for burials?
The Tat Cemetery Restoration will provide the grave digging/covering, a wooden rough box at the family’s request, and shovels to help cover.
Does the tribe charge for burial/cemetery services?
No. All services provided by the cemetery restoration department are free of charge to all tribal enrolled members/ spouses.
How do I go about marking off a grave location?
The Cemetery Restoration Department will be contacted and will reach out to the cemetery committee and will assist in marking out a grave plot.
What kind of cemetery maintenance does the department provide?
The department will cut grass, fill graves, fix fences, at the family’s request set and fix headstones.
