MOTTO
“TO LEAD IS TO SERVE”
Why this motto was chosen: Servant Leaders intentionally focus on identifying and meeting the needs of others … it is this that motivates and drives them to positively influence and lead … rather than the want to acquire power, wealth, and other personal advantages for themselves. Leaders are people who get things accomplished by inspiring others to help in the effort. Great leaders do this by helping their team succeed in their roles so that the mission overall will succeed. Hence, great leadership requires a service mentality committed to engaging with team members to help them understand the mission and learn what they need to do to be successful. It requires providing the tools and resources that will allow success and then empowering team members and all stakeholders to get the work done. Leaders build more leaders, not more followers. We understand leadership is an honor and privilege, and never a right.
